The RED One camera was designed to replace the 35mm camera by a digital camera offering the same quality. This video camera can record at a resolution as much as five times as high as your average full HD camera, that is to say at cinema quality. Many Hollywood productions have since been shot with the RED camera.

Generating complex three-dimensional images, for instance, featuring high resolution, lighting, textures and environmental effects will require the computing power of at least several computers. A render farm makes a cluster of computers do the job fast and with ease.

Gameship has an elaborate render farm facility at its disposal. It is used for CGI (computer generated imagery) in films, animations and video.



Procedure

These rewritable blueray discs serve as storage medium for XD cams. They have a capacity of 23 gigabyte.

The Sony XD Cam is an advanced digital HD camera with many adjustable options. This makes it highly suitable for various kinds of film productions. The Sony is capable of recording with a resolution of up to 1920 x 1440.

We have six Sony XD PDW-F355L camcorders that come with shoulder mount, view finder and stereo microphone. The camera uses Sony Discs to store the film data.
